Oooh yes that is an accurate, research backed claim! You are making me want to make a list of non-compelling but true promises to parents like "you will be tired well beyond infancy" or "your child will need to use the bathroom when you are far away from a bathroom with great reliability, no matter how many times you asked them to go before you left"

All the advice I was given to help me parent my troubled child was wrong. Thankfully, we eventually found the right track. If I could wave a wand, I would wish to start over again. But that is the trouble with parenting, by the time you have learnt how to be a good parent, the kid has grown up!

There is another true claim, as with any type of skill or job, you don't become an "expert" until a lot of experience and time which in parenting means that they are grown up by the time you reach that status.
